About Me
I was born in Bassano Del Grappa, Italy. The daughter of an ex aspiring nun and a frustrated inventor I began to perform at age of seven both in dance and theater. As a teenager, I started to be interested in painting and filmmaking.
The choreographies of Angelin Preljoaj, Pina Bausch and the films of Pedro Almodovar, inspired me to find my own original voice and a way to convey my own ideas. So, I decided to become an artist and learn the rules of performing art and theater. To this end, I earned a degree in Performing Art in Milan a won a scholarship to study Musical Theater at the Bernstein Musical Theater School in Bologna.
After I moved to New York I resolved to study film making and fine arts and began making videos, short films and experiment with collages and painting.
I have produced and directed two short films titled Tainted and Hamartia based on my original narrative scripts. Both films have been screened for The New Filmmakers’ series at the New York Film Anthology Archives and they have been accepted at the Bergenfield Film Festival in New Jersey. Tainted has received a Honorable Director’s citation at the Black Maria Film festival and the New Jersey Young Filmmakers.
I recently completed my first feature film titled PENTIMENTO.  Pentimento portrays the surreal and nightmarish journey of a modern day illegal immigrant in Brooklyn. The film combines some of my illegal immigration memories with my love of art and surrealism.
I am currently writing two new feature films titled "Wild Swans” and “The Master and Elena”. “Wild Swans” inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "Wild Swans" is a horror fairy tale about a group of deformed children and a schizophrenic, albino school teacher who saves them from a tragic fate.
While “The Master and Elena” is a psychological horror feature about love and the supernatural, based on the lives and works of Roman Polanski and Michael Bulgakov.
